Russ Dubisky to join IIABSC Staff in 2024
Starting as Executive VP, transitioning to President/CEO in 2025
We are pleased to announce that Russ Dubisky will join the IIABSC staff on Jan. 1, 2024 and serve as Executive Vice President until transitioning to President/CEO in 2025 after Frank Sheppard's retirement. Awards presented at IIABSC Annual Convention held Nov 5-7, at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC
Several important industry awards were presented during the awards banquet at the 125th Annual Convention held Nov. 5-7 at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC. Deborah Allen of Greenville, SC, was named the Hayne P. Glover, Jr. Agent of the Year. Hilary Johnson Haines, AIAM, of Murrells Inlet, SC, was named the IIABSC Young Agent of the Year. Laura Cornell of Safeco Insurance was named was named the IIABSC Industry Person of the Year. Stacy Spurling of Sumter, SC, was recognized as the SC Outstanding CSR of the Year. SC InsurPac Committee leader Ben Myers was recognized for his service to IIABSC with a Citation from Chair Tonya Thomason. IIABSC 2024 dues renewal info
How to retrieve your dues invoice from our Member InfoHub
IIABSC member renewals for agencies have been sent by email to the membership billing contact on record. Corporate associate dues renewal invoices are scheduled to be sent later this week. Dues invoices can be retrieved by anyone with the proper permissions using our Member InfoHub. Payment is due Jan. 1, and cancellations for nonpayment begins Jan. 30. Contact Member Services Director Megan Thomas if you are having trouble accessing your organization's dues invoice or updates are needed. Please also consider using dues renewals time to make a tax-deductible contribution to the IIABSC Foundation.   (+ More...)

Governor Henry McMaster has proclaimed that South Carolina Winter Weather Preparedness Week for 2023 will be observed from November 26 through December 2, 2023. Use resources found on the SC Emergency Management Development website (including downloadable Severe Winter Weather Guide) to help remind your clients to be prepared for inevitable winter storms. IIABSC Foundation Scholarship 2024 application now available
Contribute to IIABSC Foundation, scholarship application deadline Jan. 17
IIABSC Foundation's scholarship program exclusively for students whose parents work for IIABSC member agencies is now accepting applications for 2024 awards. Scholarships will be $2,000 each for one year. Up to seven scholarships will be awarded, and recipients are eligible to reapply in future years. Application and full eligibility guidelines are available on our IIABSC Foundation webpage. Please also consider a tax-deductible donation to our Foundation to support the charitable, educational, public safety and scientific endeavors supporting the industry in our state.  (+ More...)
