The 2023 IIABSC Young Agents Conference was held Aug. 10-12 at the Sonesta Resort on Hilton Head Island, SC. There were more than 200 attendees including 64 agents, 37 Palmetto Partner exhibitors and 47 company reps. 

Events kicked off Thursday afternoon with a reception and door prizes in the exhibit hall. We resumed Friday morning with a CE session on agency culture and ethics by local agency leader Terry Tadlock, followed by a special presentation with Make-A-Wish South Carolina congratulating us on our recent GIVE MOVEMENT and thanking our TOP GIVERS and an extended break in the exhibit hall with a Mimosa Bar sponsored by Accentus Insurance Group. Next was a lunch CE session on setting goals by GoalMaker CEO Jeremy Wall, who also is a main instructor for our new IA MBA program.  Friday afternoon was slotted as free time, but many joined us in the downstairs lobby bar for live music and drinks (originally slated as a private party by the pool, unfortunately it was rained out). 

Then we all dressed up in our summer best for a family friendly, tropical-themed dinner reception with InsurPac Silent Auction and Margarita Bar sponsored by our DIAMOND ELITE Partners Johnson & Johnson and Jecap.

Our event closed out Saturday morning with a final CE session with presentations on the path to agency ownership and the agency of the future by Agency Focus CEO Carey Wallace and an important legislative update by IIABSC President Frank Sheppard.
