SCDMV announces update to motor vehicle records
Beginning April 12, 2023, motor vehicle records (MVRs) ordered from the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV) will have a new look.
MVRs, also called driving records, from the SCDMV will no longer be printed with a watermark of the Great Seal of the State of South Carolina. The revised watermark includes a “certified” statement and the Director of Driver Services’ signature.
The revised watermark (shown below) will automatically be added to all MVRs, and there are no extra steps required to print an MVR. Please visit the SCDMV website if you have any questions and for the most up to date information on this update.
