Annuity Suitability Course Now Offered by IIABSC
IIABSC in conjunction with the Agent Broker Education Network (ABEN) is excited to offer the new Trusted Choice Annuity Suitability course for our member agents. In order to sell annuities, a producer must be licensed for life & health and complete an approved four-hour annuity suitability course. IIABSC members will now be able to do this online via our webcast, offered twice a month.
The Trusted Choice Annuity Suitability Course satisfies the four-hour requirement in South Carolina for producers that are life insurance licensed and want to offer annuities. This course covers the following aspects:
- The demographic environment confronting retirees;
- The appropriate role of annuities in providing retirement income;
- Types and characteristics of annuities;
- Annuity tax considerations; and
- Suitability and regulatory concerns.
After successful completion of the class, producers will be awarded a Certificate of Completion and four hours of L&H CE credit.
The class is a very reasonably priced at $49. Successful completion of the class also allows you to participate in the Trusted Choice Personal Pension program and become appointed with Nationwide Financial and Principal Group to offer annuities in your agency. In addition to receiving marketing materials and sales training, you will have the class fee of $49 refunded.
