SBA Approves Gov. McMaster's Request for Disaster Assistance
Following Governor Henry McMaster's September 16 request, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today that South Carolina's businesses and residents affected by Tropical Storm Debby from the incident period of August 4-22 are eligible to apply for low-interest disaster loans. The declaration covers Berkeley and Orangeburg counties and the adjacent counties of Aiken, Bamberg, Barnwell, Calhoun, Charleston, Clarendon, Colleton, Dorchester, Georgetown, Lexington, and Williamsburg.

IIABSC has been closely monitoring the progress of Tropical Storm Debby across South Carolina and Georgia the past 24 hours and has maintained open communication with hotel representatives to monitor local conditions. After careful consideration of the storm's current path and forecast, the number of cancellations received, as well as weighing the risks and uncertainties involved, both the hotel and IIABSC have determined that it is in the best interests and safety of our members and partners to CANCEL the Young Agents Conference this weekend.
